 Fake Psychic and Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp

Fake Psychic is a dramatization of the investigation of the life of the fake psychic fraudster structured in the form of a documentary with scenes played out by actors to bring  the story to life. Whilst not primarily made as a drama to entertain listeners- Fake Psychic acts out scenes from Lamar Keene's books to make listening along to what's being read more lively and helps the listeners follow along to what's happening by the sound effects used and the dialogue that's being exchanged by the characters. On the other hand, Capital Breakfast presents fun discussions, games played by the presenters of the show, competitions, celebrity gossip, etc. Whilst Fake Psychic has a more formal tone of address as the presenter of the show is trying to present her findings, Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp is more informal as the primary objective of the show is just to entertain the listener as they listen along to music, gossip and more; Fake Psychic has a more formal tone, as the presenter of the show is trying to present important information about her investigation findings and what she can put together from what she has found. Fake Psychic is made to: inform and educate, but however to keep the viewers attention it as also made to entertain. Long pieces of information may become boring, so to make the show more entertaining sound effects and dramatizations of snippets from the book are done to keep the listener interested.

Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp has multiple presenters/DJs and guests that come onto the show to talk. Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp is engaging with its audience. Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp is a live show, where listeners can listen along and reach out to the show to speak with the presenters of the show or simply just do something like a tweet as they listen and give their thoughts and opinions. The content broadcasted on Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp is fun and light-hearted; throughout the show, celebrity gossip is spoken about, games are played and famous singers and other celebrities are brought onto the show which may get people to watch as one of their idols is a guest on the show. On the other hand, Fake Psychic has a small cast. Fake Psychic only has one presenter, but however other castings are used for the show such as: the actors voice-acting the dramatizations from the book. Fake Psychic is usually aired on BBC Radio 4 in the form of a podcast, where the listeners can just tune over when it is on and listen along. However, the listeners cannot engage with the presenter of the show as the broadcast is simply a pre-recorded podcast whereas Capital Breakfast with Roman Kempt is happening live. On the other hand, Fake Psychic has a serious and formal tone as it attempts to educate the listener and give them as much information about the life of Lamar Keene.
